Andrew C. Schutz

Andrew C. Schutz is the co-chairman of the Firm’s Real Estate Services Group.  He concentrates on negotiating and documenting business and real estate transactions, including commercial leasing, purchase and sales transactions and financings and on business counseling, financial restructuring and workouts.  Mr. Schutz has been a practicing lawyer for over thirty years, including seven years as general real estate counsel to the commercial real estate development groups of The Irvine Company and Pacific Enterprises, a Fortune 500 company.

Mr. Schutz brings to the firm's clients the benefit of his experience as a senior executive in the real estate industry. He is a past president and chief executive officer of the Watt Companies commercial development group. In that capacity, he oversaw the development and management of commercial real estate projects with a value in excess of $700 million. He also previously served as a senior development executive with Pacific Enterprises as president and chief executive officer of the company’s commercial real estate development subsidiary, and was a senior real estate executive with The Irvine Company’s commercial real estate development group.

Mr. Schutz also advises the firm’s real estate clients in all aspects of their investment and development activities, including entity formation, strategic planning, and the capital structure of ventures with land owners, financial partners and lenders.
