For years, JDTP has utilized the expertise of our wide-ranging legal services to assist individuals and nonprofit organizations on a pro bono basis in connection with various matters including real estate acquisition and development, leasing, corporate organization and governance, and tax advice and planning. Our attorneys have been recognized for their outstanding pro bono and volunteer service including Scott Jackson and Ron DeFelice (for their work with Habitat for Humanity), and Sonia Lister (for her work with HomeAid Orange County).
Diversity
JDTP is committed to providing an atmosphere of fairness and equitable treatment among our employees, clients and peers. Beyond equal opportunity and non-discrimination, the members of JDTP are committed to providing an environment where each person is valued for his or her unique skills, experiences and perspectives; recognizing that we will achieve a higher level of excellence and professionalism in such an environment. Women and minorities have long held positions of leadership at JDTP, including President, board members, shareholders, department heads and committee leaders. In addition, members of JDTP have actively participated in a number of organizations that promote and embrace diversity within the business, legal and local community. Some examples include participating as members of the Building Industry Association Women's Council of Southern California, whose objectives include promoting women in leadership roles within the building industry; serving on the Board of the Lebanese American Foundation's House of Lebanon, who supports professional networking opportunities within the local Lebanese American Foundation; co-founding and participating as a member of the Roy Alvarado Scholarship Committee for Leadership Tomorrow, a leadership development program in the Costa Mesa-Newport-Irvine area, providing program tuition for young professional leaders who serve the Latino community; participating as a member of The Real Estate Council of the Jewish Federation; serving on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Bar Foundation dedicated to, among other things, issues of diversity; and serving on the Chapman Law School Board of Visitors, an organization that focuses on promoting diversity among students and faculty.
Environmental Sustainability
At JDTP we are committed to greener business practices. As a partner in the ABA-EPA’s Law Office Climate Challenge, JDTP is committed to the goal of reducing paper consumption and waste by adopting best practices for recycling, purchase of paper with recycled content, and double-sided copying and printing. JDTP is also participating in the State Bar of California's voluntary model law office sustainability program by implementing and maintaining various environmental-friendly practices. JDTP is proud to honor our commitment to the State Bar of California EcoPledge.
