Jackson DeMarco Tidus Peckenpaugh Files Suit for Concerned Citizens of Newport Beach

IRVINE, CA - Jackson DeMarco Tidus Peckenpaugh shareholder Michael Tidus has filed a lawsuit on behalf of his client Concerned Citizens of Newport Beach against the city of Newport Beach, the City Council and 11 operators of so-called "sober living" homes.

The suit seeks $250 million in damages for Newport Beach citizens affected because the city has failed to properly regulate such homes and the operators have engaged in unfair business practices, resulting in a proliferation of such homes in the city and negative impacts on both neighbors and the home residents themselves. These problems include traffic congestion, inadequate parking, accumulation of hazardous trash, public smoking and loitering.
