Three JDTP Shareholders named to Southern California Super Lawyer List
IRVINE, CA - Three Jackson DeMarco Tidus Peckenpaugh shareholders, Roger Franks, Glenn Fuller and F. Scott Jackson, were named to the 2009 list of Southern California Super Lawyers by Law and Politics Magazine.
Franks chairs the firm's Litigation Group and Co-Chairs the firm's Employment Practice Group. In that role, he practices in diverse areas of business and real estate litigation, as well as employment litigation. He has served as a mediator and provides ongoing counseling to clients including human resource professionals regarding employment policies and litigation prevention. Mr. Franks has litigated many complex matters, such as defending employers against class action claims, prosecuting fraud/breach of contract claims on behalf of publicly traded companies and prosecuting and defending a vast array of multifaceted real estate issues.
Fuller has broad experience in all aspects of real estate and corporate issues, including a wide variety of commercial real estate lending transactions, including construction loans, mini-perm loans, permanent loans, securitized loans, mezzanine financing and loan workouts. Mr. Fuller also has substantial experience in the negotiation and preparation of sophisticated partnership agreements, joint venture agreements and limited liability company operating agreements for a broad array of commercial matters. In addition, Mr. Fuller represents clients in connection with real estate tax matters. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell and a frequent writer, commentator and speaker on current real estate, tax and corporate issues, and regularly publishes on such topics.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Jackson has been named to the prestigious, peer reviewed list. He chairs the common interest subdivision group of the firm. The group has created over 1,200 community associations for homebuilders and land developers nationally. He has authored several books and articles including three chapters in Forming California Common Interest Developments, published by the California State Bar. He also co-authored the book entitled Condominiums and Cooperatives with the Assistant Attorney General of the State of New York. He is described as a leading commentator by the California Court of Appeal and his writings have been cited with approval in several of its opinions.
