Craig Beam speaks before Oxnard Chamber of Commerce

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA - Craig Beam gave a presentation to the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce's Land Use Committee, a group composed of representative of landowners and developers, public officials and land development consultants, regarding the requirements of Senate Bill 375, recently signed by the Governor. The legislation has the goal of reducing the annual statewide emission green house gases by millions of metric tons through local land use planning and transportation measures such as bring jobs and housing in closer proximity and the increase utilization of public transit. Mr. Beam's presentation also addressed the relationship of SB 375 to legislation previously sponsored by the Governor in 2006, AB 32 the "Global Warming Solutions Act" and the AB 32 Scoping Plan recently approved by the California Air Resources Board, calling for additional strategies to reduce emissions of green house gases throughout the State by various sectors of the economy."
