Alene Taber Elected Shareholder in Jackson DeMarco

IRVINE - Alene Taber has been elected as a shareholder in Jackson DeMarco Tidus Peckenpaugh, the firm announced today.

"We're very happy to have Alene as a shareholder," said firm President Ruth Mijuskovic. "She has added a whole new dimension to our environmental and land use practices, she's an excellent lawyer, and she's great to work with."

Taber assists clients in issues involving air quality, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) matters, obtaining local agency approvals for development projects, and litigating government agencies involving environmental and land use regulations and permit approvals. She represents clients before planning commissions, city councils, administrative hearing boards and local agency formation commissions.

Prior to joining Jackson DeMarco Tidus Peckenpaugh, Taber worked for the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) for more than 12 years as a senior manager. She also was a previous city planner with the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) and the city of Carson. She has taught air pollution issues in land use planning for the University of California, Irvine, Extension Program.
