Michael J. Alti concentrates his practice in environmental law, land use, and water law. Mr. Alti's environmental and land use practice consists of compliance, regulatory processing and defending of entitlements involving the California Environmental Quality Act, Subdivision Map Act, Coastal Act, local planning and zoning laws, and other state and federal environmental and land use laws. His water law practice involves defending water rights and assessing water supply for new residential projects. Mr. Alti received his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 2001, where he served as Chief Production Editor and Webmaster for the Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs. While at UCLA, Mr. Alti clerked in the Legal Department at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California where he continued to work after law school. Mr. Alti also has experience in mechanic's liens, mortgage guaranty insurance, eminent domain, local agency formation, and legislative analysis.
